Predictions for The Consumer Electronics Show 2010 - What Will be the Hottest New Trends?

While we're gearing up for the upcoming 2010 Consumer Electronics Show, what should we really expect? Will the current state of the economy hinder major upcoming announcements? Here's some predictions about the upcoming event.

Mobile Devices:

Probably the biggest mobile phone of this years Consumer Electronics Show 2010 will be the new Google Nexus One model. It's expected to set new standards for mobile interface, connectivity and options. Will it end up being unlocked or released with T-Mobile service? Will it meet up to the high expectations? We'll certainly know soon enough.

Computing:

In the laptop arena, the new Intel Core i7, Core i5 and Core i3 will be replacing the soon to be exiting Core 2 Duo processors. With Netbooks we can expect an updated Atom processer giving more than 10 hours of total battery life.

Audio and Video:

One thing for sure with this years Consumer Electronics Show will be that devices such as the iPod and iPhone are on their way out. The next big thing? Devices that do it all in one handy package. Recently having been announced, the Boxee with D-Link appears to be the direction many companies are headed. Things like Netflix access, Flickr and Facebook apps, and streaming media will now be wrapped up in one complete package.
